Olympic gymnast Arthur Nory has introduced his boyfriend João Otávio Tasso on social media for the first time.

Nory, whose full name is Arthur Nory Oyakawa Mariano, won the bronze medal in floor exercise at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The 28-year-old Brazilian – who has never publicly come out as LGBTQ, according to reports – revealed Tasso’s identity in a birthday tribute post containing pictures and video footage of the cute pair.

“Thank you for always being on my side”

In a caption, Nory wrote: “The phrase ‘in health or sickness, in victory or defeat, in joy or sadness’ never fit so much.”

He added in the post (which was made last month but only generating headlines now): “And there we are every day walking together. Thank you for always being on my side. I’ll always be yours.”

Tagging Tasso, he then added the hashtag #boyfriend.
